I totally agree with everything Jay Reichard said about this song. It would have been so cool if they'd used this music in the North American version, but NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! They had to make it exclusive to the expansion kit.
BTW, don't be envious of me, my fellow F-Zero fans, I don't actually own the expansion kit (as much as I wish I did.) I heard the original in videos on YouTube.
