More downtime... and more expected

Postby Powerlord » Tue Jun 03, 2008 8:33 pm

A generator at the facility we are hosted at went down. While the server remained running, the routers in front of it did not.

The Planet is offering a free move to another Houston datacenter that we have accepted. However, despite requesting this service 9 minutes after it was first offered (10:15am CDT to 10:24am CDT... approximately 10 hours ago), our server has not yet been moved. Stranger yet, our request has been marked as "move in progress" since 2:42pm CDT, approximately 6 hours ago.

This means that we expect to have another downtime of indeterminate length and an IP address change sometime in the near future.

Edit: As a side note, I've taken this opportunity to create the usual Sunday morning backups and download them.
