If you could make any game you wanted...

Hi everybody, I'm back

Here's a topic for discussion: If you could make any video game you wanted, what would you make?

Here's an idea I have (though its probably not that creative): Cross an FPS with a 16 bit side scrolling shooting-type game and a puzzle game. The side scrolling game would be reformatted to use 3D, and the object would be not to just blow everything up but to control the patterns of enemies by shooting the correct ones.

So what ideas do you all have?

I'd love to make a really nice game, like one where you have to go around giving people flowers or you get points for doing random acts of kindness!!!! The more creative the better. 'Missions' could be reading sad stories about people in the paper, and then you had to anonymously do something to make them happy again. In a big free-roaming 3D environment. Actually I think there is a game where you have to be nice and you get points for kissing random people but can't remember what it's called. I just had a quick search, I think I might have been thinking about GIFTPiA but I've never played that. Also Chibi-Robo is similar, and that's my favourite game ever.

Are you working on any new projects right now, William? For my own selfish reasons I'm dying for new Chibi Acelie tunes been listening through everything I have, still adore it all... and usually new game projects mean new tunes too.

@Blitz: I haven't done anything video game-wise in a long time. Come to think of it, if I'm ever going to achieve my goal of being a professional game developer I need to sit down and actually make something instead of spending all my free time watching TV

Thank you for the encouragement Unfortunately I have a bad cold right now but once that passes I'll think of something to make.

LSD is kinda clunky IMO, nice idea but poor execution. But more in that vein would be interesting, for sure. Yume Nikki for instance is great. Also... Earthbound. lole.

By now I've made enough games myself that I'm confident I could make pretty much anything I wanted to - if I could muster the motivation. Right now I'm working on an RPG heavily influenced by the theme of psychedelic substances, although I doubt it'll ever see the light of day.

I would have made an epic action RPG adventure game series in 5 parts (5 games) that are story based. I actually even have the story written for part 1 and 3 hours of music and main character artwork and most of the battle system planned. However the costs to make these games would be staggering. So they will probably never get made Unless I wake up in a fantasy world where talented ppl just stormed down my door and didn't demand a paycheck LOL! Well, this was a dream topic after all lol!
