clipping errors? example mp3?^^ hmm..i didn't notice that. tested on my soundfont? I am working on a new update (samples etc. XG overides for games) You can't set easily the master volume level. Easy yes. But then some instruments are too quiet XD. And it takes a long time to override new parameters. Check the other soundfonts first.

Been trying this out, finding that I am having to reload BASSMIDI under use device in NWC everytime I add/remove soundfonts.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
NWC: Version 1.75c

Doesn't NWC reload the driver? Maybe you could try changing MIDI drivers when sequencing, or does that require a app restart.

It is a design limitation, so don't expect on the fly soundfont changing to occur anytime soon.
I am doing a proper website for the driver at http://bassmididrv.mudlord.info/ for all info

That's what I do, just kinda annoying having to go into the options and "reloading" the drivers every time I make a change in BASS MIDI. Guess it's something I'll just have to deal with for now.

I installed this fantastic driver (searched for something like this for years), but then: it drops a lot of notes, especially at the beginning of a midi file. Can I tweak the driver in a way to avoid this? (increasing cache or something, loading the complete soundfont in RAM instead of dynamic loading?) Playing the same midi file with ROM sounds from my soundcard -of course- doesn't drop notes... :-(

Bumping this thread just to answer to johnvanhulst...

Your issue is strange, as BASSMIDI Driver is specifically the driver on which I never had any note drop.

If you are using vanBasco's Karaoke Player to play MIDI files and notice note drops at the beginning of your files, you should uncheck the Start from first note from the Configuration window.
It'll force vanBasco's Karaoke Player to read all the instructions at the beginning of the files before playing real note events, maybe it may help.

Otherwise, you may also try the other BASS-based driver, CoolSoft VirtualMIDISynth, but I seriously doubt it'd help fixing your issue, as I sometimes noticed some uncut notes while playing MIDI files, unlike BASSMIDI Driver which never had any problem (with Arachno SoundFont, at least).

My two cents...
Download Arachno SoundFont, a 150 MB GM/GS sound bank, to enhance the sound and realism of all your MIDI files: http://www.arachnosoft.com
And, if you don't have any hardware SoundFont synthesizer to play with, download BASSMIDI Driver (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=13967&start=150) or SynthFont (http://www.synthfont.com)

^ You can search for this, Putzlowitschs Vista MIDI Mapper. This might help.
MIDIs sequenced: 117
Alternate versions: 6
I love Megiddo!! :)
