A Differend Kind Of Zelda Remix

Postby Elezeid » Mon Nov 21, 2011 8:44 am

Hello everyone!

This little remix is made almost entirely out of sounds/music/vocal clips from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

If you've ever heard of a musician called "Pogo" otherwise known as Nick Bertke, then you will definitely understand the influence for this song.

Thanks a ton for listening!

Cool stuff man. Definitely not what I was expecting, but that's definitely a cool way to compose music. Not familiar with "Pogo's" work, but this sounds pretty good to me. Nice Work!

Can definitely hear the Pogo influence, instantly reminded of the Alice in Wonderland track!!! I like what you did. You made the characters sound like the bunch of monkeys that they truly are!!! Love the change at :39 simply because I remember that cadence from the game. It took me a while to recognize what parts of the game the 'vocal line' comes from, I think there are a few Link jumping sounds when I listen more closely, and some sword sounds, a Link attack sound, I was wondering actually, in the second half of the piece if you intended Link to have *spoilers* grown up like in the game!!!! because I thought I heard a grown up Link sound in the second half. That would be pretty cool.

Thanks a ton! It was lots of fun. If you like this, you might like Pogo's work. He mostly works with Disney movies rather than video games, but his sound is absolutely amazing.

It's funny you should mention the second half of the song pertaining to Link growing up. I initially had the whole second half of the song as adult Link voice clips, but it just didn't sound right. He sounded a bit too raspy and I couldn't get many good solid tones out of his voice. In the end, I went with clips from almost every other character. Zelda, Ruto, Ganon, some Gorons, and there are a few Adult Link sounds in there.

Anyway, thanks to both of you for your support! It's much appreciated. ^^

Ohhhhh I see, that's very interesting!! Then you did a great job, I'm sure someone with better memory than me could pick out all those characters.
