I'm already using it. Perhaps I should try 7zip...

I believe we must rethink the schedules and deadlines for the next contests... :?

Looks like the deadline was yesterday. What will happen now? D:

Also I may host MMC#9 unless someone objects to it.

Dentelle just messaged me and told me, that she will take a while for the scores, and I may close the contest. I guess, I'll release the results today and close the contest. Dentelle may post her scores later. I mean, on the other side, we could wait for her. She is the last one whose scores are missing.

I see. Well, I don't mind waiting, but other people may feel differently; it's been pretty long.

Anyway, I think I'll open MMC#9 meanwhile and let people pick the next theme until June 1st.

Alright, I'm gonna release the results today. The only thing is, how do I do that? ^^

The contest is finally over now! Hope you all had a lot of fun! :)

The results + the Song Pack are both in the first post!

Hope the next MMC is going to be as awesome as all the other MMC's! :)

For anyone who is interested, here is my MP3, which I like a lot more than the MIDI:

PS: If you've also got a MP3 using SNES samples, then you may of course post it here! :)

There's a problem with the scores; I removed the results. Please wait while we resolve this.

EDIT: Now the results are fixed. EnergeticEssence, you had ranked the songs based on total points and not mean score, which was wrong because one entry got 6 votes, compared to all the others who got 5 votes.

And I was so going to reply and do an AWESOME proposal for the next theme.

Anyway, congrats Zenkusa on the gold, and thanks everyone for an amazing contest!

I'm sorry for the setback... I just had the time to write something until the first deadline... I'm glad if it was good.

Well, congratulation to all. :)
I'll submit some comments later, as soon as I can, as I said to EnergeticEssence yesterday.

Hah, first time I've actually won of these contests. Cool.
Good show all, these were some fine entries. I wish I could compose believable rockin' guitar lines like the ones in Schoolgirls Insurrection.

@AnthonyMorgan: yeah, my entry is super loud. If I could go back, that's absolutely the first thing I'd change. I much prefer songs in midi that max at about 100 volume or so.

Yep, congrats everyone, it was really nice.
Not surprised you won, Zenku; you really did a good job, as usual.

No worries, I'm gonna do that tomorrow! Or maybe... right now! EDIT: http://vgmusic.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=14816
