I wasn't that crazy about this song before, but I grew to like it a little more when I sequenced it. It's still probably my least favourite song in X5, but it's still a decent song. This was a pretty hard song to sequence. Most of the effects were really hard to emulate. I couldn't emulate the phaser effects on the guitars and without them, the soung sounded a bit empty, so I added some warm pad chords to fill it. I also couldn't use portamento on the lead guitar because, even though XG supports portamento, it doesn't really work on the electric guitars, so I had to emulate the portamento using pitchbends. (Jeez! One of the main reasons I used XG for this MIDI was so that I wouldn't have to do that! (At least I thought I wouldn't.)) I had to improvise on this MIDI quite a bit but I think I got it to sound pretty good. If you take this MIDI for what it is and not for what it isn't, it's actually a really good sequence.
