Merry Christmas, everyone!
Boy do I have a surprise for you!
It's this!

I actually had this game for the GBA, but it wasn't until recently that I discovered it was a game from the nineties.
If you're curious, it was also released for the SNES, Genesis, Gameboy and Gameboy Colour.
The GBA version is the only one with an entirely different soundtrack, but that is Crazybus music compared to the rockin', epic, DEADLY music from the original!
What stunk was that I only ever owned the GBA version, so hearing the original soundtrack made me jealous, yet pleasured at the same time!

One thing that's incredible about the original soundtrack is the generous song lengths.
Some songs, including this one, go on for over 5 MINUTES!
That's how long the song lengths are!
Not even Tim Follin (or even his brother Geoff) has made anything that's just as long, if not, longer than that!
One of several reasons why Raphael Gesqua was such an underrated musician before he went on to do the music for [[http://www.gamesdatabase.org/media/nintendo-game-boy-advance/artwork-title-screen/postman-pat-and-the-greendale-rocket (hurls so incomprehensibly it sounds like he's going to be sick)]]

Although not Pictionary NES or I Just can't Wait to be King levels of weirdly awesome, this song sounds way too good for a videogame about a squirrel, let alone a snow level!
The reason why I say I Just can't Wait to be King and the music in Pictionary for the NES are better is because some parts sound better than others.
It's like Gesqua got bored while composing.

This song was both easy and hard for me to sequence.
Easy because the song was repetitive and only used 5 channels and hard because the repeating parts were short and the 5 channels kept changing instruments. (including drums)
Not to mention the original used echoes and pitchbends.
I was also debating on what drums I should use.
The Rock drums suit the song better, (apparently) but the Normal drums sound less cluttered, so I used those.
I couldn't get this MIDI as close to the original as I wanted.
The trumpet in the original had an echo and there was also a labmyc, neither of which I could add due to channel limitations in MIDI...unless you know better? (there are over 128 patches in a standard MIDI device, but you can only use 16 channels...why?!?!)
I also feel like the chords are drowning out the melody, but other than that, this is probably the best MIDI I have ever made so far!

A Sound Canvas device is highly recommended for this one.
The biggest drawback is that the chords sound abit off...
Other than that, it shouldn't sound too bad.
A GM version is also available in case you're having problems.

Appears the only reason the chords were stealing the show was because I got a little bumbling with the volumes.
I've now fixed this problem so the chords don't sound so blatant.
It sounds much better now that the chords aren't burying evertything else alive.
And I know it's overeager to upload an updated version of a Christmas-themed MIDI on Christmas but whatever.

I know I'd only made 1 bunch of nursery rhyme MIDIs and that this is contradictory, but this glared so much that I just had to readjust it.
I promise to make more nursery rhyme MIDIs after this one, so this'll be a just-this-once.

Another thing: greetings to Lu9, tahutoa and especially Noah Richards if they see this.
Maybe the latter might even think of an idea for the future.

With anything more to say, Merry Christmas, Seasons Greetings, see you in 2020!
Get ready for those selflacing shoes, hovercrafts and time machines!
